Author: Verna McKinnon A good mystery! Written by one of our own Washington State authors, with an uncanny knowledge of what building skyscrapers are all about.

Author: Al Philipson I'm not much of a mystery fan. I've always had a stereotype in my mind of the Micky Spillane type of "who done it".
Concrete Rocket doesn't fit that mold at all. The main character isn't a "gumshoe", but rather just a lawyer caught in a situation he has no training for. He's actually a sympathetic character that I can identify with (I'd be just as out of my element as this poor fellow).
Not only does he have to get out of the situation alive, but he has to figure out who's behind the crime.
There are plenty of half-clues to work with, but the solution is still unexpected (at least by me). I suppose that hardened mystery buffs may figure it out, I didn't.
A very enjoyable story. I hope Hickey writes another.

Author: Fred Hernandez Concrete Rocket was quite a maze for our friend to maneuver through. Not knowing where the bad guys were, not knowing if his next step would be his last.
Our friend needs to get out alive, by using his wits and keeping his cool while meeting unexpected turns in the process. It’s a good thinking mystery.
